GoQat automatically moves the focuser and takes CCD images to generate a V-curve such as the one above. You can select the range over which you want to fit the slopes for the left and right hand parts of the curve. Noisy points due to poor seeing or tube currents are rejected by the fitting process. When the autofocus is calibrated, you can focus your telescope and CCD camera at the click of a button, going automatically from the left image to the right one below.
